wwpFTransferActivate

Module: WWP-FILE-TRANSFER-MIB

OID (symbolic): WWP-FILE-TRANSFER-MIB::wwpFTransferActivate

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.7.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: Activate the file transfer operation with a value of True(1). The object will return to 'false' once the file transfer is completed. Poll wwpFTransferStatus for current status. Default value is False. wwpFTransferRemoteFileName, wwpFTransferServerAddress and wwpFTransferOp must be valid prior to setting this object to True.

What is wwpFTransferActivate?

This read-write boolean starts the configured file transfer when set to true, automatically returning to false once the transfer completes, and requires the remote filename, server address, and operation type to already be validly configured before it can be set to true. An admin sets this last, after configuring the operation type, server address, and filenames, to actually kick off the transfer, then polls the transfer status object for progress. For example, an admin would configure the remote filename and server address, then set this object to true to begin the transfer, watching wwpFTransferStatus to know when it completes.
