Module: WR-SWITCH-MIB

OID (symbolic): WR-SWITCH-MIB::wrsPortStatusSfpTxBias

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.96.100.7.6.1.19

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: Measured TX bias current in uA reported by SFP. According to SFF-8472, accuracy of this value must be better than 10%

What is wrsPortStatusSfpTxBias?

TX bias current of the SFP transceiver in this port, in microamps, accurate to within about 10% per SFF-8472. A rising bias current over the transceiver's lifetime is a classic laser-aging indicator an admin can track to anticipate SFP replacement before failure.
