vrrpStatsIpTtlErrors

Module: VRRP-MIB

OID (symbolic): VRRP-MIB::vrrpStatsIpTtlErrors

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.68.2.4.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: The total number of VRRP packets received by the virtual router with IP TTL (Time-To-Live) not equal to 255.

What is vrrpStatsIpTtlErrors?

A running count of VRRP packets received with an IP TTL other than 255, the value the VRRP spec requires; a non-255 TTL usually means the packet was routed rather than sent directly on the local segment, a possible spoofing indicator.
