swVoiceVlanPortMode

Module: VOICE-VLAN-MIB

OID (symbolic): VOICE-VLAN-MIB::swVoiceVlanPortMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.74.3.2.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Port mode just indicates which mode of voice VLAN function is supported by port. If in auto mode ,the port can be added in to voice vlan automatically when it connect a ip-phone,else the port just added by mannual.

What is swVoiceVlanPortMode?

This object selects how a port is added to the voice VLAN: auto(1), where the port joins automatically upon detecting a connected IP phone via its OUI, or manual(2), where the port must be explicitly added by the admin. An admin sets auto(1) on general access ports to let phone detection happen automatically, and manual(2) on a port where they want explicit control over voice VLAN membership. Setting manual(2) on a port with a detected phone means it will not join the voice VLAN without explicit admin action.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> VOICE-VLAN-MIB::swVoiceVlanPortMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.74.3.2.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> VOICE-VLAN-MIB::swVoiceVlanPortMode.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.74.3.2.1.3.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> swVoiceVlanPortMode.1
