usdEthernetIfOperDuplexMode

Module: Unisphere-Data-ETHERNET-MIB

OID (symbolic): Unisphere-Data-ETHERNET-MIB::usdEthernetIfOperDuplexMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4874.2.2.34.1.1.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The current operational duplex mode for this ethernet interface.

What is usdEthernetIfOperDuplexMode?

This read-only object reports the current operational duplex mode -- autoDuplex, halfDuplex, or fullDuplex -- actually in effect on an Ethernet interface, as distinct from the read-write usdEthernetIfDuplexMode configuration object for the same interface. It reflects the outcome of autonegotiation (or forced settings) rather than what was requested. An admin polls this object to confirm whether a link actually came up full duplex as intended, or to spot a duplex mismatch when troubleshooting poor throughput.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4874.2.2.34.1.1.1.1.5
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> Unisphere-Data-ETHERNET-MIB::usdEthernetIfOperDuplexMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4874.2.2.34.1.1.1.1.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Unisphere-Data-ETHERNET-MIB::usdEthernetIfOperDuplexMode.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> usdEthernetIfOperDuplexMode.1
