usrTracerouteCFMStatusFlag

Module: USR-TRACEROUTE-MIB

OID (symbolic): USR-TRACEROUTE-MIB::usrTracerouteCFMStatusFlag

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.40.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: UsrConfigStatus

Access: read-write

Description: Setting the value of this object to `save' causes the values of the Remote Ping Group to be written out to the current config file, which is stored in the usrTracerouteConfigFileName object. While the new ConfigFile is being written, the Remote Ping process will set the value of this flag set to `saving''. Any attempts to set the value while it is not `normal' (i.e. the file is currently being written to the ConfigFile) while result in a badValue error being returned. Setting the value to `normal' will result in no action.

What is usrTracerouteCFMStatusFlag?

This object controls saving the traceroute configuration to the config file: setting it to 'save' triggers a write, the device reports 'saving' while the write is in progress, and setting it to 'normal' takes no action. Admins use this to persist traceroute settings across reboots without waiting for an automatic save cycle. Attempting another 'save' while the flag reads 'saving' would return a badValue error until the write completes.
