usrRshTotalRSHConnections

Module: USR-RSHD-MIB

OID (symbolic): USR-RSHD-MIB::usrRshTotalRSHConnections

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.74.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: The total number of rsh requests

What is usrRshTotalRSHConnections?

This read-only counter reports the total number of rsh (remote shell) requests received by the device. Admins use this to specifically track remote-shell command execution attempts, separate from file-copy (rcp) requests counted elsewhere in this MIB. A high usrRshTotalRSHConnections value relative to usrRshTotalRcpConnections tells the admin most RSH activity on this device is interactive command execution rather than file transfer.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> USR-RSHD-MIB::usrRshTotalRSHConnections

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.74.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> USR-RSHD-MIB::usrRshTotalRSHConnections.1
