usrPPPBundleTxNonCompPkts

Module: USR-PPPML-MIB

OID (symbolic): USR-PPPML-MIB::usrPPPBundleTxNonCompPkts

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.11.2.1.1.15

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: The total number of packets received from an upper layer application for transmission over this bundle that were NOT compressed by the PPP application before handing the packet (or fragments) down to the lower layer application. The value of this object is meaningful only when the link has reached the open state (usrPPPBundleOperStatus is up). Note that this counter only represents packets that were candidates for compression over the BUNDLE (not links). If link compression was enabled (multilink), the non- compressed packet counters can be found at the link level.

What is usrPPPBundleTxNonCompPkts?

Counter32 giving the number of outbound packets at the bundle level that were candidates for compression but were NOT compressed; meaningful only once the bundle is open. A high value relative to usrPPPBundleTxCompPkts suggests compression isn't being applied effectively, worth checking negotiated CCP settings.
