usrPPPBaseCFMSaveStatus

Module: USR-PPPML-MIB

OID (symbolic): USR-PPPML-MIB::usrPPPBaseCFMSaveStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.11.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: UsrConfigStatus

Access: read-write

Description: Setting the value of this object to `save' causes the values of the PPP Base Group entries to be written out to the current PPP config file. While the new config file is being written, the PPP process will set the value of this flag set to `saving''. Any attempts to set the value while it is not `normal' (i.e. the file is currently being written to the config file) while result in a badValue error being returned. Setting the value to `normal' will result in no action.

What is usrPPPBaseCFMSaveStatus?

Read-write control object: setting it to save writes the current PPP base group settings out to the active config file, while the value reads saving during the write and returns to normal afterward; setting normal itself does nothing, and setting it while saving returns a badValue error. Use this to commit in-memory PPP configuration changes to persistent storage so they survive a reboot.
