usrPingBusyOutEnabled

Module: USR-PING-MIB

OID (symbolic): USR-PING-MIB::usrPingBusyOutEnabled

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.36.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: The variable defines whether the Ping process will continuously ping a list of systems and busy out the modems if those systems do not respond in the specified period of time.

What is usrPingBusyOutEnabled?

This read-write TruthValue, defaulting to true, controls whether the device continuously pings the configured list of systems and busies out modems when those systems fail to respond within the configured time. An admin disables this when the busy-out monitoring feature isn't needed, to stop the device from taking modems out of service based on ping failures. For example, setting usrPingBusyOutEnabled to false(2) stops the device from busying out modems even if their associated ping targets stop responding.
