usrfrBaseCFMSaveStatus

Module: USR-FR-MIB

OID (symbolic): USR-FR-MIB::usrfrBaseCFMSaveStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.15.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: UsrConfigStatus

Access: read-write

Description: Setting the value of this object to `save' causes the values of the FR Base Group entries to be written out to the current FR config file. While the new config file is being written, the FR process will set the value of this flag set to `saving''. Any attempts to set the value while it is not `normal' (i.e. the file is currently being written to the config file) while result in a badValue error being returned. Setting the value to `normal' will result in no action.

What is usrfrBaseCFMSaveStatus?

Setting this object to 'save' triggers the device to write the current Frame Relay Base Group configuration entries out to the active config file, during which the object's own value transitions to 'saving' until the write completes; attempting another set while it isn't 'normal' returns a badValue error. An administrator uses this as the explicit commit action after adjusting Frame Relay base parameters via SNMP so the changes persist to the config file. For example, setting usrfrBaseCFMSaveStatus to 'save' after modifying frame relay settings writes those changes out, and polling the object afterward confirms it has returned to 'normal' once the save completes.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.15.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> USR-FR-MIB::usrfrBaseCFMSaveStatus

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.15.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> USR-FR-MIB::usrfrBaseCFMSaveStatus.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.15.2.1 s <value>
