Module: USR-FCNI-MIB

OID (symbolic): USR-FCNI-MIB::usrFCNISecurTimeDrift

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.85.6.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Description: The value represents how close the timestamp, contained in the Identification information element of the Registration Request or the Registration Acknowledge message, should be to the PDSN's time of day clock. This time tolerance is used in conjunction with timestamp replay protection against replay attacks.

What is usrFCNISecurTimeDrift?

Allowed clock skew, in seconds (0-255), between the timestamp in a Registration Request/Acknowledge's Identification element and the PDSN's own clock; used for replay-attack protection. Too tight a value can cause legitimate messages to be rejected if the FACN's clock drifts even slightly.
