usrFAEncapsulationSupported

Module: USR-FA-MIB

OID (symbolic): USR-FA-MIB::usrFAEncapsulationSupported

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.83.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Description: Encapsulation methods supported by this foreign
agent entity. The foreign agent may support
multiple encapsulation methods or none of them.
This is a bit-mapped value with the following
representation:
  7   6   5   4   3   2   1   0
+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+
| 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | M | G | I |
+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+
where,
I - IP Encapsulation within IP
G - Generic Routing Encapsulation as per RFC1701
M - Minimal Encapsulation within IP.

What is usrFAEncapsulationSupported?

Configures which tunneling encapsulation methods this Mobile IP Foreign Agent supports, as a 3-bit mask: bit 0 (I) for IP-in-IP, bit 1 (G) for GRE (RFC1701), and bit 2 (M) for Minimal Encapsulation; a mobile node's registration request is only accepted if it asks for a method this mask allows.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.83.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> USR-FA-MIB::usrFAEncapsulationSupported

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.83.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> USR-FA-MIB::usrFAEncapsulationSupported.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.83.1.1.1 i <value>
