usrDnsRoundRobin

Module: USR-DNS-MIB

OID (symbolic): USR-DNS-MIB::usrDnsRoundRobin

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.17.26

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

What is usrDnsRoundRobin?

Enables the DNS round-robin feature for cycling through multiple resolved addresses in order; disabling it makes DNS pick addresses randomly instead. An admin chooses round-robin over random selection when they want predictable, even load distribution.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.17.26
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> USR-DNS-MIB::usrDnsRoundRobin

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.17.26.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> USR-DNS-MIB::usrDnsRoundRobin.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.17.26.1 i <value>
