Description: Setting this object to 'on' will cause the UPS system to restart after a shutdown if the shutdown occurred during a power loss as a result of either a upsShutdownAfterDelay or an internal battery depleted condition. Setting this object to 'off' will prevent the UPS system from restarting after a shutdown until an operator manually or remotely explicitly restarts it. If the UPS is in a startup or reboot countdown, then the UPS will not restart until that delay has been satisfied.
What is upsAutoRestart?
This object controls whether the UPS system automatically restarts after a shutdown that occurred during a power loss, such as one triggered by upsShutdownAfterDelay or a depleted battery. Admins set it to off in environments where an operator must manually confirm it's safe to bring systems back online after an outage, and to on where unattended automatic recovery is preferred. With this set to off, a UPS that shut down during an overnight power failure will stay off until someone manually restarts it, even after utility power returns.
