cpuLoad

Module: TOS-SYSSTATE

OID (symbolic): TOS-SYSSTATE::cpuLoad

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.14331.5.5.1.4.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: CPU load value (percent*100).

What is cpuLoad?

cpuLoad reports the device's current CPU utilization as a percentage multiplied by 100, so the raw SNMP value must be divided by 100 to get a percent figure. Admins poll this to monitor processing load on the Topsec security appliance and detect when the CPU is becoming a bottleneck under heavy traffic inspection. For example, a returned value of 7500 corresponds to 75.00% CPU utilization.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.14331.5.5.1.4.5
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> TOS-SYSSTATE::cpuLoad

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.14331.5.5.1.4.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> TOS-SYSSTATE::cpuLoad.1

Start monitoring TOPSEC firewall/UTM security appliance (process health/HA cluster status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Create custom SNMP monitor using the TOS-SYSSTATE::cpuLoad OID value, configure state conditions and alerts, and monitor any TOPSEC firewall/UTM security appliance (process health/HA cluster status) from a single console.
