What is cps?

cps reports the number of new network connections the Topsec device is establishing per second. Admins watch this metric to gauge traffic load and to detect abnormal spikes that might indicate a connection-flood attack or a surge in legitimate demand. For example, a jump from a baseline of 500 cps to 50,000 cps could signal a SYN flood or DDoS attempt hitting the device.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.14331.5.5.1.4.10
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> TOS-SYSSTATE::cps

Get a specific instance (index 1):
