What is permitGateFreeVolMemory?

This object reports the total amount of free volatile memory currently available on the device, in bytes. Admins monitor it for a steady decline, which can indicate a memory leak or resource exhaustion before the device becomes unstable. Free memory dropping from 100 MB to 5 MB over a few days would signal a leak worth investigating.
