Description: This variable has the count on the number of times this PPP/MLPPP bundle have made the 'Down' to 'Up' and 'Up' to 'Down' transitions in the last 5 minutes.
What is pppStatsUpDownStatesLastFiveMins?
This read-only Counter32 counts how many times a PPP/MLPPP bundle has transitioned between the 'Down' and 'Up' states within the last five minutes. It lets admins catch an actively flapping link in near real time rather than only seeing an accumulated since-boot count. For example, a value of 3 in this five-minute window would indicate the bundle is currently unstable and worth immediate attention.
