Description: This variable has the count on the number of times this PPP/MLPPP bundle have made the 'Down' to 'Up' and 'Up' to 'Down' transitions since it was last booted or cleared.
What is pppStatsUpDownStatesLastBootOrClear?
This read-only Counter32 counts how many times a PPP/MLPPP bundle has transitioned between the 'Down' and 'Up' states since it was last booted or its counters were cleared. Admins use it to detect link flapping, since a high count indicates the bundle is repeatedly dropping and re-establishing rather than staying stable. For example, a count of 40 transitions over a single day would signal an unstable link worth investigating for physical or configuration issues.
