This read-only Counter32 tracks the total number of packets received on a specific PPP/MLPPP bundle since it was last booted or its counters were cleared. It gives admins a packet-level view of inbound activity, useful alongside the byte counters for spotting unusually small or fragmented packets inflating packet counts. For example, a sudden jump in this counter without a matching rise in received bytes could indicate a flood of small control or malformed packets.
