Module: TIARA-NETWORKS-SNMP-MIB
OID (symbolic): TIARA-NETWORKS-SNMP-MIB::snmpTrapRcvrEntryStatus
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3174.2.5.1.4.1.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: The status of the SNMP trap-receive table entry. By default, the value is set to valid when a new entry is created. When a network management station is deleted from the table the value of the parameter is set to invalid.
What is snmpTrapRcvrEntryStatus?
This value controls whether a given entry in the trap-receiver table is active, using valid(1) to mark an active receiver that should get traps or invalid(2) to effectively delete it; per the source, only entries marked valid are actually used to send traps, and the table holds at most 10 receivers. An administrator sets a new receiver's entry to valid(1) when adding a network management station to receive this device's traps, or to invalid(2) to stop sending traps to a station being decommissioned. For example, setting this to invalid(2) for the entry pointing at an old NMS server's IP would immediately stop trap delivery to that retired system.
