xnNotification19

Module: TELDAT-TRAP-XN-MIB

OID (symbolic): TELDAT-TRAP-XN-MIB::xnNotification19

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2007.1.4.163.2.0.19

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: Notification of Event XN.19

Message: '$1 changing source network to $2 on packet received from $3/$4 for $5/$6'

Parameters list: $1: xn19-protocol $2: xn19-new-source-net $3: xn19-source-net $4: xn19-source-node $5: xn19-dest-net $6: xn19-dest-node

This message is generated when an IPX packet is received with a source network number of 0. The router corrects this to be the network number of the interface the packet was received on.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' TELDAT-TRAP-XN-MIB::xnNotification19
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.2007.1.4.163.2.0.19

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:56396->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (172993100) 20 days, 0:32:11.00
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: TELDAT-TRAP-XN-MIB::xnNotification19

SNMPv3 example:

snmptrap -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3user -a SHA -A "AuthPass1" -x AES -X "PrivPass1" <manager> '' TELDAT-TRAP-XN-MIB::xnNotification19
