What is telProdNpConfProtFtpMss?
This value sets the maximum TCP segment size, in bytes, that the router's FTP connections will use. Tuning this to match the path MTU helps avoid IP fragmentation during FTP transfers, which can otherwise slow throughput or cause failures across links with small MTUs, such as some WAN or VPN paths. An admin transferring files over a PPPoE WAN link with a reduced MTU might lower telProdNpConfProtFtpMss to 1400 to avoid fragmentation.
