tfAlarmSpecificProblem

Module: TAILF-ALARM-MIB

OID (symbolic): TAILF-ALARM-MIB::tfAlarmSpecificProblem

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.24961.2.103.1.1.5.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TfUtf8String

Access: read-only

Description: This object is used when the 'tfAlarmType' object cannot uniquely identify the alarm type. Normally, this is not the case, and this leaf is the empty string.

What is tfAlarmSpecificProblem?

Provides additional problem detail used only when tfAlarmType alone can't uniquely identify the alarm; normally it is an empty string. An admin should check this field when investigating an alarm whose tfAlarmType is ambiguous or shared across multiple distinct problem conditions. For example, if several distinct fault conditions share the same generic tfAlarmType "hardware-fault", tfAlarmSpecificProblem would distinguish "PSU2 overtemp" from "fan1 failure".
