Module: SYNOLOGY-DISK-MIB

OID (symbolic): SYNOLOGY-DISK-MIB::diskID

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6574.2.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: Synology disk ID The ID of disk is assigned by disk Station.

What is diskID?

This object holds the unique identifier that the DiskStation NAS software assigns to a physical hard drive installed in a Synology device. An administrator reads this ID to distinguish between multiple drive bays when investigating a fault, since drive slot position and internal disk ID aren't always the same thing. For example, correlating diskID with a failure alert lets the admin pull up the correct physical drive's assigned ID before ordering a replacement.
