What is threshold?

This value specifies the temperature threshold configured on the switch, under the temperature branch of this environment-monitoring MIB. Admins set this to define at what temperature reading the device should be considered to have crossed into an abnormal condition. For example, setting this threshold to 70 (degrees Celsius) means the switch will flag a temperature alarm once its sensor reading exceeds 70.
