swDevInfoFrontPanelLedStatus
Module: SW-DES3x50-L2MGMT-MIB
OID (symbolic): SW-DES3x50-L2MGMT-MIB::swDevInfoFrontPanelLedStatus
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.11.2.1.1.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: OCTET STRING
Access: read-only
Description: This object is a set of system LED indications. The first two octets is defined as system LED. The first LED is power LED. The second LED is console LED. The other octets following the second octets are the logical port LED (following dot1dBasePort ordering). Every two bytes are presented to a port. The first byte is presentd to the Link/Activity LED. The second byte is presented to the Speed LED.
Link/Activity LED : The most significant bit is used for blink/solid: 8 = The LED blinks.
The second significant bit is used for link status: 1 = link fail. 2 = link pass.
Speed LED : 01 = 10Mbps. 02 = 100Mbps. 03 = 1000Mbps.
The four remaining bits are currently unused and must be 0.
What is swDevInfoFrontPanelLedStatus?
A raw octet-string snapshot of every front-panel LED on the switch: the first two bytes report the power and console LEDs, and each following byte pair encodes one logical port's Link/Activity LED (blink/solid, link pass/fail) and Speed LED (10/100/1000 Mbps). A monitoring tool would decode this to remotely mirror the switch's physical panel status without needing someone to walk over and look at the device.
