swSurveillanceVlanPriority

Module: SURVEILLANCE-VLAN-MIB

OID (symbolic): SURVEILLANCE-VLAN-MIB::swSurveillanceVlanPriority

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.102.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The priority for the surveillance VLAN, which is used to distinguish the QoS of the surveillance traffic from data traffic.

What is swSurveillanceVlanPriority?

This value sets the 802.1p priority level applied to traffic in the surveillance VLAN. An admin raises this value to give video traffic preferential QoS treatment over the switch's regular data traffic, ensuring camera feeds aren't starved during periods of network congestion. For example, setting swSurveillanceVlanPriority to 5 gives surveillance VLAN traffic a higher forwarding priority than default best-effort data traffic on the same switch.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.102.1.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> SURVEILLANCE-VLAN-MIB::swSurveillanceVlanPriority

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.102.1.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> SURVEILLANCE-VLAN-MIB::swSurveillanceVlanPriority.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.102.1.1.3.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> swSurveillanceVlanPriority.1
