contrAction
Module: SUN-MIB2
OID (symbolic): SUN-MIB2::contrAction
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.42.2.12.2.1.5.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Node for restarting or shutting down agent
What is contrAction?
This read-write value lets an admin restart(1) or shutdown(2) the Sun Management Center agent process itself by setting this object. It's a blunt but direct remote-control lever, so an admin should expect the agent (and SNMP access to it) to become briefly or permanently unavailable immediately after setting it.
