This value controls whether alarm traps under the neAlarmTrap branch are suppressed; when set to filter-on, the agent sends no traps from that branch. An admin uses it to silence alarm trap notifications, for example during planned maintenance when alarms are expected and shouldn't generate a flood of trap messages. For example, an admin performing scheduled maintenance that will trigger many benign alarms would enable neAlarmTrapFilter beforehand to avoid overwhelming the trap receiver.
