snmp540AlarmCfgThreshold

Module: SNMP540-MGMT-MIB

OID (symbolic): SNMP540-MGMT-MIB::snmp540AlarmCfgThreshold

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.498.8.4.5.2.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This function sets/reads the alarm threshold
 settings criteria. This threshold is used
 along with the alarm window to determine
 the number of instances in a given time frame
 for an alarm to occur before the alarm is
 considered active.

Alarm       Table Entry        Range     Default
-------     ----------------  ---------  --------
Jitter    snmp540JitterAlm     0 to 99%      10%
BPV's     snmp540BpvAlm        0 to 99Count  10
Frm Loss  snmp540FrameLossAlm  0 to 99Count  10
SNRatio   snmp540SignalToNoiseAlm  0 to 50    0
Rx Low    snmp540RxSignalLowAlm  -50 to 6db -30dB

What is snmp540AlarmCfgThreshold?

The threshold value at which this alarm becomes active, combined with the count window to determine sustained condition duration. Ranges and defaults vary by alarm type, e.g. jitter defaults to 10%, signal-to-noise ratio to 0dB, and RX level low to -30dB — an admin tunes these to match acceptable line quality for their circuit.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.498.8.4.5.2.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> SNMP540-MGMT-MIB::snmp540AlarmCfgThreshold

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.498.8.4.5.2.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> SNMP540-MGMT-MIB::snmp540AlarmCfgThreshold.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.498.8.4.5.2.1.2.1 i <value>
