snmpTargetParamsStorageType

Module: SNMP-TARGET-MIB

OID (symbolic): SNMP-TARGET-MIB::snmpTargetParamsStorageType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.6.3.12.1.3.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: StorageType

Access: read-create

Description: The storage type for this conceptual row. Conceptual rows having the value 'permanent' need not allow write-access to any columnar objects in the row.

What is snmpTargetParamsStorageType?

This read-create object indicates the storage type (e.g. volatile, nonVolatile, permanent) for this params conceptual row, defaulting to nonVolatile, and per the description a 'permanent' row need not allow write access to its columns. Admins set this to control whether the entry survives a reboot and whether it can be modified or deleted afterward. Setting it to permanent(4) would lock the row against modification and guarantee it isn't lost across a restart.
