Description: This object contains a single tag value which is used to select entries in the snmpTargetAddrTable. Any entry in the snmpTargetAddrTable which contains a tag value which is equal to the value of an instance of this object is selected. If this object contains a value of zero length, no entries are selected.
What is snmpNotifyTag?
This tag value selects which entries in the snmpTargetAddrTable receive notifications generated from this row: any target address entry whose tag matches this value is selected, and a zero-length value selects none. An admin uses it to control which set of trap/inform destinations a given notification configuration applies to. For example, setting this to 'criticalAlerts' would route notifications only to target addresses tagged with that same string.
