What is softwareEquipmentReleaseBench1Status?

This read-only enumerated value reports the lifecycle state of the software occupying equipment Bench 1: notLoaded, loaded, or running. Admins use it alongside softwareEquipmentReleaseBench1 to confirm a downloaded release has actually been activated on the equipment rather than merely staged. For instance, after a firmware upload completes the value moves from loaded(2) to running(3) once the bench switch takes effect.

Start monitoring SIAE MICROELETTRONICA microwave radio (software release inventory/activation/rollback status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Create custom SNMP monitor using the SIAE-SOFT-MIB::softwareEquipmentReleaseBench1Status OID value, configure state conditions and alerts, and monitor any SIAE MICROELETTRONICA microwave radio (software release inventory/activation/rollback status) from a single console.

How to Use in IPNetwork Monitor

Select an SIAE MICROELETTRONICA microwave radio (software release inventory/activation/rollback status) as the target host to create a monitor — the SNMP service should be up and running on it. Click New Monitor, then check SNMP Custom on the Favorites tab, click Next, and confirm the host. On the next page, click Select... to open the built-in SNMP MIB Browser and type softwareEquipmentReleaseBench1Status into the Find box to locate it in the OID tree, then select it and click OK. Status of the bench 1 software. On the monitor's Main parameters page you can set the target's SNMP port (default 161), credentials, polling interval, and other settings — see the SNMP Monitor help for details. On the State conditions and Alerting tabs, configure when the monitor should change state and trigger an alert; since this is an INTEGER-type OID, Value bounds is the most useful condition here — trigger an alert if the value is anything other than 'running', since that indicates the condition this object reports has changed to one worth investigating. Click Finish to create the monitor; you can adjust any parameter later.
