Module: SHIVA-COMM-MIB
OID (symbolic): SHIVA-COMM-MIB::tCommunityName
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.166.4.4.5.1.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: DisplayString
Access: read-write
Description: The name of this community.
What is tCommunityName?
This read-write display string is the name of an SNMP community defined in the community table, which the device uses to authenticate incoming SNMP requests. An admin sets this string as the community string that a management station must present to gain the privilege level assigned in the paired tCommunityAccess object. For example, an admin might create an entry with tCommunityName set to "netops-ro" to give the network operations team a distinct, auditable read-only community string.
