tATRoutingMode

Module: SHIVA-AT-MIB

OID (symbolic): SHIVA-AT-MIB::tATRoutingMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.166.4.2.18

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The routing behavior of this device for AppleTalk.

If the device is configured as conformingRouter(1) or seedRouter(2) then it will behave as an AppleTalk router on the LAN interface, and will route packets to all interfaces. If it is a conformingRouter(1) then it will learn its configuration for the LAN interface from other routers on that interface's directly-connected network. If it is a seedRouter(2) then it will use the configured LAN interface parameters.

If the device is configured as endNode(3) it will behave as an AppleTalk endnode on the LAN interface.

other(4) is provided in the event a value is returned which does not match any of the other enumerated values. It is not expected that this will happen.

What is tATRoutingMode?

A read-only enumeration of the device's AppleTalk routing behavior: conformingRouter(1) (learns config from other routers), seedRouter(2) (uses configured parameters), endNode(3) (acts as an AppleTalk end node), or other(4). Admins check this to confirm the LanRover is operating in the intended AppleTalk routing role on its LAN interface.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.166.4.2.18
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> SHIVA-AT-MIB::tATRoutingMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.166.4.2.18.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> SHIVA-AT-MIB::tATRoutingMode.1
