snmpFddiSMTConfigPolicy

Module: RFC1285-MIB

OID (symbolic): RFC1285-MIB::snmpFddiSMTConfigPolicy

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.15.1.2.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: A value that indicates the configuration policies currently enforced in the node (refer to ANSI SMT 9.4.3.2). The 'configurationHold' policy refers to the Hold flag, and should not be present only if the Hold function is supported. The 'CF-Wrap- AB' policy refers to the CF_Wrap_AB flag.

The value is a sum. This value initially takes the value zero, then for each of the configuration policies currently enforced on the node, 2 raised to a power is added to the sum. The powers are according to the following table:

Policy Power configurationHold 0 CF-Wrap-AB 1

What is snmpFddiSMTConfigPolicy?

A read-write bitmask sum controlling which configuration policies (configurationHold, CF-Wrap-AB) are currently enforced on the node. Admins set the CF-Wrap-AB bit to force the station to remain wrapped rather than automatically reconnecting the ring, useful during planned maintenance on a ring segment.
