snmpFddiMACPathsRequested
Module: RFC1285-MIB
OID (symbolic): RFC1285-MIB::snmpFddiMACPathsRequested
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.15.2.2.1.11
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: A value that indicates PATH(s) desired for this MAC.
The value is a sum which represents the individual PATHs that are desired. This value initially
takes the value zero, then for each type of PATH that this node is, 2 raised to a power is added to the sum. The powers are according to the following table:
Path Power Primary 0 Secondary 1 Local 2 Isolated 3
The precedence order is primary, secondary, local, and then isolated if multiple PATHs are desired are set.
What is snmpFddiMACPathsRequested?
A read-write bitmask sum indicating which ring paths (Primary, Secondary, Local, Isolated) this MAC wants to use, with precedence given in that order when multiple are requested. Admins set this to control which ring path a MAC attempts to associate with, for example forcing local-only operation during isolated testing.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.15.2.2.1.11 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> RFC1285-MIB::snmpFddiMACPathsRequested
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.15.2.2.1.11.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> RFC1285-MIB::snmpFddiMACPathsRequested.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.15.2.2.1.11.1 i <value>
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> snmpFddiMACPathsRequested.1
