regexDescr
Module: REGEX-MIB
OID (symbolic): REGEX-MIB::regexDescr
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.12325.1.203.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: OCTET STRING
Access: read-only
Description: Description of the regexEntry object.
What is regexDescr?
This read-only object holds a text description of what a given regex table entry matches or represents. Admins read this to understand, in plain terms, the purpose of a particular pattern-matching rule without having to parse the raw regexString itself. A regexDescr of "syslog error count" would tell the admin that entry's regexInteger and regexString values relate to counting error lines in a log.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.12325.1.203.1.2 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> REGEX-MIB::regexDescr
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.12325.1.203.1.2.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> REGEX-MIB::regexDescr.1
