Module: REDSTONE-HDLC-MIB

OID (symbolic): REDSTONE-HDLC-MIB::rsHdlcIfCrcSize

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2773.2.9.1.2.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

Description: Selects CRC size: none, 16 bits, or 32 bits.

What is rsHdlcIfCrcSize?

This INTEGER enumeration selects the CRC size used on the HDLC interface: none(0), crc16(1), or crc32(2), defaulting to crc16. Admins configure this to match the error-checking capability expected by the remote HDLC peer, since a mismatch would cause frame errors. For example, setting rsHdlcIfCrcSize to crc32(2) enables stronger error detection on a noisy long-haul circuit.
