rdnLoadBalanceDnstreamModemCount

Module: RDN-DLB-MIB

OID (symbolic): RDN-DLB-MIB::rdnLoadBalanceDnstreamModemCount

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4981.8.2.2

Description: Perform downstream load-balancing based on modem count. 0 = Perform on all enabled Load-Balance Groups. [1-255] = Perform on a specific Load-Balance Group based on group ID. Reading this object always returns zero.

What is rdnLoadBalanceDnstreamModemCount?

This read-write value, 0-255 representing a Load-Balance Group ID, triggers a manual downstream load-balancing operation based on modem count when written; a value of 0 performs the operation on all enabled load-balance groups, while 1-255 targets a specific group, and reading the object always returns zero since it's an action trigger rather than persistent state. Admins use it to manually force an immediate rebalance of modems across downstream channels rather than waiting for the next scheduled interval. An admin troubleshooting an overloaded downstream channel in group 3 might write 3 here to immediately trigger a rebalance for that group.
