rdnLoadBalBasicRuleStopThres

Module: RDN-DLB-MIB

OID (symbolic): RDN-DLB-MIB::rdnLoadBalBasicRuleStopThres

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4981.8.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-create

Description: If object rdnLoadBalBasicRuleEnable is upstream(1) or downstream(2), the delta percentage of utilization between two load balancing group channels that should be met to stop load balancing is defined by this value. Otherwise, this object has no meaning.

What is rdnLoadBalBasicRuleStopThres?

This read-create value, 0-100 percent, sets the utilization difference between two channels that must be reached to stop an in-progress load-balancing operation, but only has meaning when rdnLoadBalBasicRuleEnable is set to upstream(1) or downstream(2). Admins tune it to prevent load balancing from over-correcting and continuously shuffling modems back and forth once channels are reasonably balanced. Setting this stop threshold lower than the start (delta) threshold gives the system a stable target range where it stops actively rebalancing.
