Description: The maximum time (in seconds) to wait for this TACACS+ server to reply.

What is rcTacacsServerTimeout?

This sets how many seconds, from 10 to 30, the device waits for a response from this TACACS+ server before considering the request timed out, defaulting to 10. An admin increases this value if the TACACS+ server is on a slow or congested network path and legitimate requests are timing out prematurely, or leaves it low to fail over to a backup server more quickly when the primary is unreachable. For example, an admin troubleshooting occasional login timeouts over a slow WAN link to a remote TACACS+ server might raise rcTacacsServerTimeout from 10 to 20 seconds.
