Description:
Enable or disable operation of poison reverse on the specified interface. If poison is disabled, split-horizon operation is enabled.
What is rcRipExtEntPoison?
This object stores a number controlling poison-reverse on the interface; when disabled, split-horizon protection is used instead. Both techniques prevent routing loops by limiting which routes are advertised back to neighbors. An engineer might adjust this setting to optimize convergence behavior or troubleshoot routing instability on specific interfaces.
