What is rcIpRipInterfaceCost?
This read-write number specifies the routing cost or metric added to routes learned on this interface. Engineers adjust it to influence traffic flow, making some paths more or less preferred; higher values mean less desirable paths. Setting cost to 5 on a slow WAN link makes local LAN routes (typically cost 1) preferred.
