Description: The aggregate of the total number of packets that higher-level protocols requested be transmitted, and which were addressed to a broadcast address at this sub-layer, including those that were discarded or not sent for each outer vlan and its inner vlans.

What is rbnStackedVlanHCOutBroadcastPkts?

This read-only 64-bit counter tracks broadcast packets that higher-layer protocols requested be transmitted, including those discarded or not sent, aggregated across the outer VLAN and its inner VLANs. Admins keep an eye on this counter because a persistently high broadcast transmission rate can signal an ARP storm or misconfigured broadcast-heavy application on the stacked VLAN. An unusually large rbnStackedVlanHCOutBroadcastPkts total compared to rbnStackedVlanHCOutUcastPkts would lead an admin to investigate excessive broadcast traffic being generated on that VLAN stack.
