This object reports the perceived severity, such as critical, major, or minor, of a currently active alarm on a DS3 interface. An administrator uses this severity value to prioritize which of several simultaneous DS3 alarms needs immediate attention versus which can wait. For example, rbnDsx3AlarmSeverity reporting a critical severity for one DS3 circuit while others show only minor alarms tells the admin to investigate that circuit first.
