Module: RAPIDCITY-VLAN-MIB

OID (symbolic): RAPIDCITY-VLAN-MIB::rcVlanStaticMembers

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.3.2.1.13

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: A bitfield used to identify how ports are members of this VLAN.

A one(1) value in a bit means the port is a static member of this VLAN. A zero(0) value in a bit means the port is a dynamic member of this VLAN.

The bitfield is 32 octets long representing ports 0 to 255 (inclusive).

What is rcVlanStaticMembers?

This read-write OCTET STRING (32 bytes, representing ports 0-255) is, per its source description, a bitfield where a 1 bit marks a port as a static (administratively fixed) member of this VLAN and a 0 bit marks it as only a dynamic member. Admins use this to permanently pin specific ports to a VLAN regardless of dynamic membership protocols, ensuring those ports never get automatically removed. For example, setting the bit for an uplink port here would guarantee that port always carries this VLAN's traffic, unlike a purely dynamic member port that could be aged out.
