prtMarkerSuppliesLevel

Module: Printer-MIB

OID (symbolic): Printer-MIB::prtMarkerSuppliesLevel

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.43.11.1.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: The current level if this supply is a container; the remaining space if this supply is a receptacle. If this supply container/receptacle can reliably sense this value, the value is reported by the printer and is read-only; otherwise, the value may be written (by a Remote Control Panel or a Management Application). The value (-1) means other and specifically indicates that the sub-unit places no restrictions on this parameter. The value (-2) means unknown. A value of (-3) means that the printer knows that there is some supply/remaining space, respectively.

What is prtMarkerSuppliesLevel?

This value reports (or, on supplies without a level sensor, lets an admin set) the current fill level of a supply container or remaining free space of a receptacle, in the units given by prtMarkerSuppliesSupplyUnit; -1 means other/no restriction, -2 means unknown, -3 means the printer only knows some supply or space remains without an exact figure. Monitoring dashboards poll this to trigger a low-toner alert, e.g. when a cartridge level drops below 10 percent.
